Cobham Mission Systems Division, located in Davenport, Iowa, is an Aerospace Defense firm, with $80m in annual sales. A workforce of 385 employees makes oxygen systems (to help pilots breathe at high altitudes) and nitrogen systems (to inert aircraft fuel tanks), miniature cryogenic coolers (to provide night vision capability and to detect heat) and deep water dive rebreathers (to maintain and defuse underwater mines and conduct special operations).
