Carleton Sponsors Young Professionals Luncheon

A great time was had by all Wednesday, Dec. 10 at North Park Mall at the Davenport One’s young professionals organization’s holiday luncheon, sponsored by Carleton Life Support. The organization, neXt, is a group within Davenport One (the Chamber Of Commerce) that is developing the next generation of people and leaders for the businesses within our community.

This month’s luncheon was a charitable event with the participants forming teams of three, armed with $30; $10 was donated by each participant. Their challenge was to hunt for the most thoughtful and creative jpgts for the clients of the Center for Active Seniors Inc. (CASI).

CLSS sponsored the event by providing lunch for the participants, donating prizes for the team with the most creative jpgts, as well as acting as judge of the creative contest.

More than 30 professionals participated in this event and donated jpgts ranging from hats, scarves, gloves and ornaments, to blankets, candy, books and even a remote control car.

Thank you to Mike Donahue, Audrey Porter and Tim Phillis who participated from CLSS.
