Management (Career Path)

Design Supervisor – The Design Supervisor manages design drafting department by overseeing day-to-day workflow and scheduling, participating in or leading the selection and training of new employees as well as performance evaluations, salary review and feedback and discipline for current employees. They also review engineering drawings to ensure conformance with departmental and industry standards. This position requires employees to have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and three to five years related experience.

Engineer R&D, Manager – An Engineer R&D, Manager manages the engineering functions for research and development of new and existing products. They plan and oversee program objectives and requirements, and develop standards and guides for a diverse set of engineering activities. This position requires employees to have a BS, MS, PHD, or MBA degree in Engineering (Electronic, Mechanical, Physics, Ceramic, or related discipline) from an ABET accredited curriculum school.

Hourly Supervisor – The Hourly Supervisor manages a production team including selection, hiring and training of new employees, as well as overseeing day-to-day workflow, scheduling and providing positive feedback and discipline to current employees. They also identify and track parts, assemblies and shortages as necessary. This position requires an employee to have an Associate’s Degree in related field and a minimum of five years related experience.

Manufacturing Engineering Manager – The Manufacturing Manager manages Operations activities including assembly and test, manufacturing engineering, transition of new products to manufacturing, etc. They also recommend, evaluate, and implement productivity and quality improvements. This position requires employees to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or related field and a minimum of five years experience plus two years supervisory experience.

Materials Manager – The Materials Manager manages production-planning staff engaged in planning, scheduling and monitoring the flow of materials through the production cycle. They act as a liaison with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production departments to resolve any problems and to achieve optimum utilization of facilities in meeting production schedules. This position requires employees to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and a minimum of five years related experience plus two years supervisory experience.

Quality Manager – The Quality Manager manages the functions of quality assurance, or quality control department, including verification of product quality, development/maintenance of quality procedures and work instructions, and corrective action programs.
