Oxygen Regulator
The Life Support 29255 automatic diluter-demand pressure breathing oxygen regulator is a lighted panel instrument designed for use by aircraft crewmembers during high altitude flight. The regulator is installed between the oxygen supply source and the crewmember’s mask. Oxygen supply pressure is provided to the regulator through the port located on the inlet assembly. A built-in pressure reducer regulates the inlet supply pressure from 37 to 45 psig [255.11 to 310.26 kPa]. Ambient air, used for dilution purposes, enters the regulator through an aneroid controlled air valve located on the side on the unit. Breathing gas is delivered to the mask by a flexible hose attached to the outlet of the regulator. This regulator is used on the E-6, F-5, F-117, T-38, C-5, C-130, C-141, KC135, A-10 and the B-52.
